Mississippi vs Alabama Prediction

The current betting odds have Alabama listed as a 6.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Alabama looked terrible in their last game against South Florida and that was right after getting embarrassed at home against Texas. They didn't even start Milroe in that game though as they didn't want to show too much before this game which is starting their conference schedule. Ole Miss is 3-0 this season and they have looked great in their games as they have been overpowering teams with their offense, but their defense hasn't looked good at all as they have been giving up a ton of points in their games still. Ole Miss is going to score points in this game with that offense but Alabama will also have a much better offense at home under Milroe and they will have no trouble moving the ball on this bad defense. Alabama also needs to make a statement after the way they played in their last 2 games so they are going to bring their best effort here for this 1st conference game of the season at home. Ole Miss does not have a defense as good as Alabama and that will be their downfall in this game. The best way to place a bet here is on Alabama to cover the spread in this game.

Mississippi Alabama Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, September 23, 2023 (3:30 pm ET start time) is Alabama 34 Ole Miss 20.

Notable Quotes

“It’s good to get to 3-0. It wasn’t pretty at times but all you can be after three games is 3-0 and that’s great. Jaxson did some special things running the ball and he made a couple of explosive plays in the passing game, too.” - Lane Kiffin after his team’s win against GA Tech in their last game.

"I know we got the SEC coming up next week and obviously we have a lot of things to fix and we'll work on it. We've actually had four touchdowns negated this year because of penalties. Kickoff return today, touchdown run today, two last week. So all these things add up to how much consistency and how well do you play? How many points do you score? So we need to fix all those things. We're certainly going to work on it.” - Nick Saban after his team’s win against USF in their last game.
