Vikings vs Commanders Prediction

The current betting odds have the Commanders listed as a 3.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Commanders haven't been great this season as they sit at the bottom of their division right now but they are still a .500 team and seem to have gotten a boost from their starting QB Carson Wentz going out with injury, allowing Taylor Heinicke who was the starter last season to reclaim his job. They have won 3 games in a row and 2 in a row with Heinicke but their defense has been playing a lot better in those games, finally looking like a Ron Rivera defense again. Their offense is only going to get better as the chemistry is there already; the team just has to get used to Heinicke leading the offense again. The Vikings are off to a great start at 6-1 this year but they really aren't as good as their record indicates. They have won a lot of close games this season within 1 score but really haven't dominated any teams in any of their games. This Commanders defense has been playing a lot better lately and they are going to shut down the Vikings offense which has struggled on the road this year. Even if the Vikings do win this game, it will likely be another very close game that comes down to a field goal. The best way to place a bet here is on the Commanders to cover the spread in this game.
