Brewers vs Rays Prediction

The current betting odds for this game have not been listed yet but the Rays have been playing a lot better recently as they just swept their last series. They were playing the Pirates but they have still been playing better, scoring more runs in that series when their offense has been very bad and their pitching continued to be great as it has been all season. They have Springs starting here but it also does not matter as much for the Rays as they have a very good bullpen to back them up and most of their starters do not go very deep into games anyway. The Brewers have Lauer starting here and he has not been awful this season but he has had some very bad starts where he blew the game early and he is coming off of another bad start in his last where he allowed 5 runs. The Brewers have had a much better offense than the Rays this season but even their offense has not been great and with the Rays starting to hit the ball a lot better recently, pitching will be a big factor in this game. The Rays have the arms to stunt the Brewers offense here while Lauer will likely allow some runs and have his team trailing here once again. The best way to place a bet here is on the Rays to win this game.

Notable Quotes

"It's a day where the offense really picked us up and gave us a great cushion. Rowdy had a big day but up and down the lineup a lot of guys did good things. They carried us today. They made pitchers' jobs much easier." - Craig Counsell after his team’s win against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

"The swim move where he tucked the left arm and reached around with the right. That was a pretty pivotal part of the game." - Kevin Cash after his team’s win against the Pirates on Sunday.
