Middle Tennessee vs Missouri Prediction

The current betting odds have Missouri listed as a 20.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Missouri won their season opener against a team from the FCS and they only won at home by 25 points but they still have a much better team here that has been improving under Drinkwitz each year and they are going to roll in this game with a chance to get out to a 2-0 start. Middle Tennessee State can't have a lot of confidence here after getting rolled by Alabama in their season opener and now they go on the road to play a weaker team but they are still playing a team from the SEC. Middle Tennessee State doesn't have a good offense that will move the ball in this game and they are going to struggle to put up points. They do have a decent defense that will get stops here but it won't be enough as this Mizzou offense is going to put up points at home here and there will be a point in this game when the score gets too out of hand for MTSU to come back. The best way to place a bet here is on Missouri to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"I'll give Alabama credit. Obviously, they've got a heck of a football team. The first half, you know, we did some things offensively, moved the ball a little bit, you know. Hit a pass, got on their side of the 50, but we got a lineman downfield and backed us up.” - Rick Stockstill after his team’s loss against Alabama in their last game.

“We will be moving forward with Brady Cook as our quarterback No. 1.” - Eli Drinkwitz on his starting QB after his team’s win against South Dakota in their last game.
