Middle Tennessee vs Liberty Prediction

The current betting odds have Liberty listed as a 14.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Liberty has looked really good in their games this season as they have been blowing out a lot of the teams they have faced and look like one of the best teams in the Conference USA this season. They pulled off a big road win against the other red hot C-USA team Jacksonville State and won that game by almost 20 points, now they come back home to play a much weaker opponent here. Middle Tennessee is only 2-5 this season and they are only 1-2 in conference play. They just got their 1st win of the conference schedule with a win at home against a terrible LA Tech team, but they also struggled to get out to a lead in that game at home and now have to face the only undefeated team left in the conference on the road here. Liberty has too good of an offense for MTSU to slow down on the road and eventually Liberty will pull away in this game where there will be no way back in this for MTSU. The best way to place a bet here is on Liberty to cover the spread in this game.

Middle Tennessee Liberty Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Tuesday, October 17, 2023 (7:00 pm ET start time) is Liberty 42 MTSU 17.

Notable Quotes

"Great win ... really proud of our team. I thought we played good, complimentary football in all three phases." - Rick Stockstill after his team’s win against LA Tech in their last game.

“I was very proud of our team on Tuesday from the standpoint of a quick turnaround, a lot of circumstances that we could have used as excuses to not go play well. Obviously, the first quarter we started a little slow. I think after about the third drive we played pretty well in all three phases. One, to get the victory, but two to do it in the way that we did.” - Jamey Chadwell after his team’s win against JSU in their last game.
