Michigan vs UConn Prediction

The current betting odds have UConn listed as a 5.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. UConn won their season opener over Gardner-Webb and the game was never close. Their offense was putting up numbers all night and they didn't even give up 50 points. They are coming off that 40 point win now and even though this game is at a neutral site, it is more of a home game for UConn. Michigan also opened their season with a big win over Oakland and they won by 16 points. Their offense looked great in that one, but their defense wasn't and they still gave up 68 points in that win. Michigan was the best team in the nation last season and they crushed almost every team they faced, but this year is going to be different for them since they are going through a bit of a reset. They are still a really talented team ranked inside the top 25, but this is only their 2nd game with this new head coach after Dusty May left for the NBA, so they are still trying to figure out their identity as a team. UConn has a lot more continuity entering this season, ranked inside the top 10, and they have been one of the best programs in the nation over the last few years. UConn looked like one of the best teams in the nation in that season opener against a lesser opponent and they are going to bring their best effort for Michigan with revenge on the mind after losing to Michigan in the National Championship last season. The best way to place a bet here is on UConn to cover the spread in this game.

Michigan UConn Prediction:  Our NCAAB Pick for Friday, November 6, 2026 (8:00 pm ET start time) is UConn 82 Michigan 74.

Notable Quotes

“What a great challenge ahead of us as we head to Boston today for a game tomorrow. But we know we’ll be facing a highly, highly motivated group of players and coaches, considering the last time we played them was in the national championship game. We got a few guys who were part of that game that I’m sure will be excited for it and looking forward to it, maybe had this date circled on their calendars for a while. We’ve got a tall task that we do our best to be as as well prepared for as possible. Started yesterday and will continue today.” - Mike Boynton on his team’s upcoming game against UConn.

“I took the 200-win ball they gave me, and I threw it out the door in the hallway. I don’t want that sh*t. Because I don’t care. What am I going to do with that?” - Dan Hurley after his team’s win against Gardner-Webb in their last game.
