Miami vs Notre Dame Prediction

The current betting odds have Notre Dame listed as a 7.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Notre Dame has looked great in their games this season with their 7-1 record overall which has them ranked inside the top 25. They have looked great on their home field too with their 3-0 home record this season. Meanwhile, Miami has looked great in their games this season with their 8-0 record overall and their 6-0 conference record which has them right at the top of the ACC. They have been a great road team too with their 4-0 road record this year. Miami is currently ranked 1st overall in the nation, but lately they haven't really been playing like the best team in the nation. They are coming off a 38-35 win over North Carolina in their last one and they have been in some really tight games over the last few weeks. They have a ton of talent on offense that gives them one of the best offenses in the nation, but their defense hasn't looked good lately and they have been giving up a ton of points. Their offense also took a big hit with Toney being out for a few weeks now. Notre Dame is coming off a 35-13 win over Navy in their last one and they have been blowing out a lot of teams this year, but they have also had a really weak schedule. They lost the only game that they played against a ranked opponent too, losing 28-24 on the road against BYU, and they never really led in that one either. They do have a really good team though with a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and this is a game that they really need to win at home to show that they are deserving of a spot in the CFP. They have a big advantage being at home here along with Toney being out for Miami now and they are also going to have revenge on the mind since they did lose to Miami last season in a game that they could have easily won, and that was a big reason why they were left out of the CFP. The best way to place a bet here is on Notre Dame to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“In games like that, really important — like we tell our players — you just keep playing. Because you don’t know what play is going to turn the whole thing around. And certainly the fumble was a massive turnaround that swung the momentum in the game.” - Mario Cristobal after his team’s win against UNC in their last game.

"I kept saying, ‘Stop panicking. Don’t come up with magical calls that our guys don't know how to execute.' So, I think the ability to get them to calm down and see what they're getting attacked with helped them in the second half.” - Marcus Freeman after his team’s win against Navy in their last game.
