Heat vs Bucks Prediction

The current betting odds have the Heat listed as a 6.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. This is game 2 of a 7-game series between the 1st seeded Bucks and the 8th seeded Heat for the 1st round of the playoffs in the NBA Eastern Conference. The Heat took game 1 of this series with a huge road win to upset the Bucks but they were also helped out by an injury to Giannis which saw him only play 11 minutes of the game. Giannis was already dealing with an injury coming into the playoffs but now he is bothered by a back injury and it does not look good for the Bucks. He only played 11 minutes in game 1 and the Bucks just couldn't keep up without him on the court as they were trailing the entire game. The Bucks may be without him for game 2 and that would be really bad for them as they would be at risk losing that game too, but even if Giannis does play he won't be 100% and the Heat have shown they can give the Bucks all they can handle. The Bucks are in a bad situation in this series and the Heat will play well enough here to keep this game close even if they do lose and the Bucks tie up the series. The best way to place a bet here is on the Heat to cover the spread in this game.

Heat Bucks Prediction:  Our NBA Pick for Wednesday, April 19, 2023 (9:00 pm ET start time) is Heat 114 Bucks 110.

Notable Quotes

“He's just a brilliant competitor. He does it on both ends of the court. He has an innate feel for what's necessary during the course of a game. We needed obviously some offensive punch, some triggers, something to settle us all down, particularly when we found out Tyler was out. Jimmy was able to do it in a lot of different ways.” - Erik Spoelstra after his team’s win against the Bucks in their game on Sunday, game 1 of this series.

"There was an X-ray that was clear here. We’ll monitor him and see how he does, see how he wakes up, how he feels the rest of tonight and tomorrow.” - Mike Budenholzer on Giannis after his team’s loss against the Heat in their game on Sunday, game 1 of this series.
