Dolphins vs Vikings Prediction

The current betting odds have the Vikings listed as a 10.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Vikings have looked great in their games this season with their 3-0 record overall which has them right near the top of the NFC North. They have looked good on their home field too with their 1-0 home record this season. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have looked terrible in their games this season with their 0-3 record overall which has them right at the bottom of the AFC East. They haven't been a good road team either with their 0-2 road record this year. The Dolphins are in their 1st year of a new head coach, but they also lost a ton of talent in the off-season and they don't have a good team this year. There isn't a lot of talent on their roster and the NFL hasn't done them any favors with this being their 3rd road game in the first 4 games of the season. They are coming off a 24-10 loss to the Chiefs in their last one and their offense has looked terrible all season, but now they will be without their best player Achane who suffered a season ending injury. Now they are on the road again and even though this Vikings offense hasn't been lighting many teams up this season, the Vikings defense has been. The Vikings are coming off a 23-16 win over the Bucs in their last one and they have had one of the best defenses in the NFL this year. They aren't giving up much to opposing offenses and this game will be no different since the Dolphins don't have much talent to test this Vikings defense. The offense has looked terrible for the Vikings, but Murray also played his 1st full game in this system last week and will come out better in this 2nd game at home against one of the worst teams in the NFL. The Dolphins are going to have a lot of trouble all night against this Vikings defense and this should be the first game this season that the Vikings offense takes a big step towards improving. The best way to place a bet here is on the Vikings to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“It's never as good as it was, never as bad as it was until you watch the tape, but I'm pleased with that. I'm pleased with the intensity. I'm pleased with the physicality of this defense and of this team. And I believe in everybody. Now, we have to get better at the football part of it.” - Jacob Rodriguez after their loss against the Chiefs in their last game.

“We knew that was going to be an all-out, full team effort. We have to get better in all three phases. I got to do a better job but to be 3-0, to have the type of support we had today from the fans, unbelievable to have that many in the house.” - Kevin O’Connell after his team’s win against the Buccaneers in their last game.
