LSU vs Oklahoma Prediction

The current betting odds have Oklahoma listed as a 10 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Oklahoma has looked really good in their games this season with their 9-2 record overall and their 5-2 conference record which has them in the top half of the SEC. They have looked great on their home field too with their 5-1 home record this season. Meanwhile, LSU has looked good in their games this season with their 7-4 record overall, but their 3-4 conference record has them in the bottom half of the SEC. They haven't been a good road team this year either with their 1-3 road record. LSU has had a very disappointing season and ended up firing Brian Kelly weeks ago. The defense has looked good at times, but the offense has been a disaster. They have one of the worst offenses in the SEC this year, off a 13-10 win over Western Kentucky in their last one, and they struggled to put up points against LA Tech earlier this season too. They have struggled all year against bad defenses, but now they have to go on the road against one of the best defenses in the SEC and they aren't going to get much done on offense here. Oklahoma is off a 17-6 win over Missouri in their last one and their offense hasn't looked great at times, but their defense has been showing up in every game and doesn't give up many points at all. Even if the offense struggles here, the defense is going to keep this terrible LSU offense off the board long enough for Oklahoma to put up points and build a lead. Oklahoma also needs the win more for their playoff resume so expect them to bring their best effort to close out the regular season at home. The best way to place a bet here is on Oklahoma to cover the spread in this game.
