Game 3 of this series brings yet another  heartfelt desire to bet again on the Dodgers.  The Dodgers won Game 1 in Washington 10-1. It was a cakewalk. The Dodgers batters simply can not be stopped by the lousy pitching staff of the Nationals.  The Dodgers hit the Over and you could have bet them ATS instead of the Moneyline… You may want to try that with Game 3.

A National League battle of the Best in the West and the worst in the East.  The two clubs are ridiculously close at the plate.  Both clubs hit the ball really well.  The problem comes when we compare the pitchers…. The dead last team in the NL East, the Washington Nationals have no pitching whatsoever.  They are terrible with no way out unless they move some of the good hitting.  The West’s best, the Los Angeles Dodgers have maybe the best pitching staff in all the league!  They are so good that manager Dave Roberts has trouble figuring out which amazing bullpen thrower should be tested as a starter?... It’s an important challenge early in the season… but if they played well?… Who would they replace?  The starters and the bullpen are amazing.  

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 7 of their last 10 games.  They are currently on a 7-game winning streak.  They have posted 7 Over, 1 Under and 2 Push.  If you had followed my advice to simply keep betting in the Dodgers you would be on a 7-game streak.  If you had gone double or nothing a couple of times… You would be outbidding me for the Charcoal Metallic Land Rover at Thousand Oaks Land Rover (and Ferrari) dealership.  The Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 2-0 in two games, they swept the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 in a 4-game series, and they went 1-3 in 4 games with the Philadelphia Phillies last week.  

The Washington Nationals have won only 3 of their last ten games.  They logged 4 over and 6 Under during that stretch.  They went 0-2 to the Milwaukee Bucks (with 1 game left to play tonight), 1-2 against the Miami Marlins, 1-2 against the Houston Astros, and 1-1 against the New York Mets.  They have no pitching worth talking about or writing home about or even putting on the mound… but it is baseball… so any given day… right?... No matter that the team is averaging 5.01 team ERA?... Right?... Right?... No.

Nationals: RHP Erick Fedde, 2-3, 4.08 ERA, 36 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched.  1.46 WHIP.  Erick is 4 years older than Julio Urias with only 50% the major league experience.  He has been toiling on a bad team… so maybe there is stuff in his bag we have not gotten to see?  His teammates must not like him because his nickname is Feddeccini.
