Kentucky odds represent the insanity that has gripped the football schedule. Neither of these teams are in line for National Championships… Neither of these teams fall victim to the Raw Power Score from exclusive pickcenter analysis.  This is simply bad handicapping based on a terrible algorithm that has put out the latest odds and ruined the latest spread.  Are you with me?... Let me lead you to some great betting.  We are gonna prove the wrong team is the underdog.

Kentucky vs Louisville Preview and Analysis

RECENT FORM
Kentucky players have produced an 8-3 overall record, but they are 7-4 in ATS record.  They have logged 7 Overs and 4 Unders.  They are 2-2 in road games.  Please remember for insights sake that they play in the SEC. They have lost to the Georgia Bulldogs with a final score of 30-13… the other two losses on the season were Mississippi State and Tennessee.  UK had an early lead in the Tennessee game, but lost by 3 points 45-42.

Louisville players have managed a 6-5 record and 6-5 ATS.  They have notched 4 Overs and 7 Unders.  They are 4-2 at home…. And these guys, who play in the ACC, are favored?!!

Offensive Analysis

Kentucky is 45th in the FBS in points per game with 31.6.  UK is 52nd in ypg with 423.8.  UK is 67th in passing yards and 40th in rushing yards. QB Malik Cunningham has a 62% completion percentage while throwing 18 touchdowns with 5 interceptions.

The Louisville stats are why they are favored.  The Cardinals are ranked 35th in ppg with 32.9 and 20th in ypg with 459.6.  They are 59th in passing yards and 16th in rushing yards…. BUT in the ACC!  They haven’t played Georgia.  They didn’t get their stats smacked by great defenses in the SEC that produce NFL draft 1st rounders!!

Defensive Analysis

UK ranks 27th in the FBS in defense of yards.  They allow only 335.8 total yards per game.  UK is 53rd in pass defense and 18th in rush defense.  The Kentucky stats that shine is they are 39th in the FBS in points allowed with only 22.2 per game.

The Cardinals are 77th in the FBS in defending total yards, 101st in the FBS in defending passing yards and 48th in defending rushing yards.  Yes, Louisville is 54th in the FBS in defending points… They only give up 24.7 per game…. That’s just not as good as Kentucky who plays in a tougher conference.

COACHES

Kentucky:  Mark Stoops.  Brother of Bob.  Coach Stoops makes $5 million a year to coach football at a basketball school… Never ever say football isn’t America’s sport.  He has had the job since 2013 and he has built a strong program.  His Kentucky record is 57-53… If he is smart he will sign an extension for as many years as Kentucky will offer. You can’t get a better life than he has right now.  At Texas A&M 8-3 should get you fired by now… and they don’t pay much better.

Louisville: Scott Satterfield.  Coach Satterfield has had the Louisville job since 2019… he was the head guy at Appalachian State before this.  He has been living in the Head coaching witness protection program.  Kentucky will beat him and he will keep his head down til next year.
