Kentucky vs Florida Prediction

The current betting odds have Kentucky listed as a 6 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Florida had a very big win in their last game over last year's PAC-12 champions Utah, but they barely won that game by 3 points in a game that went back and forth all night and a few bad calls even helped Florida out as they could have easily lost that game. Kentucky looked really good in their first game, they didn't play a very strong team but they still put up a lot of points on offense and their defense was very good as well. Florida is still in their first season with their new head coach so it will take a few games for them to really get rolling. Kentucky also has a very good defense that will be able to shut down Florida's run game and they will not be able to move the ball as efficiently in this game. Kentucky will come to play in this conference game as they are looking to go to a conference title game in this tough SEC East division so losing a game here will not be good for them and they will bring their best effort to keep this a close game the entire time. The best way to place a bet here is on Kentucky to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“What we’re looking for is getting our best five on the field. We feel like we’ve got to experiment with this and look at it. We’ve done it before. It’s not something that’s unusual to him.” - Mark Stoops on his offensive line coming into this game.

“We need to express our gratitude to our fans for showing up and creating a special environment. To have the largest opening day crowd in the history of the school is pretty remarkable. To think about what we kind of set out in the very beginning to create here, for them to do their part, we talk about a team effort, they were a significant factor in the game and create issues for the opponent. We’re hopeful we can keep that positive energy and moment and the impact that they can have on the game, I think we have just a handful of tickets left for Kentucky." - Billy Napier on the atmosphere coming into this game.
