Kansas State vs Iowa State Prediction

The current betting odds have ISU listed as a 2 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. ISU hasn't been great lately as they have lost 2 games in a row now but both losses were very close as they have been playing well. They lost at home to Baylor blowing a lead in that game and then they lost their last game on the road in Kansas by just 3 points in a very close game. Kansas and Baylor are both very good teams though and now ISI is going to be hungry for a win in the conference here at home. ISU does have a very good defense and they should be able to stop this KSU offense. KSU has looked great in their last 2 games as they went on the road beating Oklahoma and just won at home against Texas Tech, but Oklahoma is clearly not as good as they were thought to be after their loss to TCU in their last game and even Texas Tech has struggled a lot this season without their starting QB leading the offense. This is going to be the toughest conference game KSU has played in this year and they have to go on the road for it against ISU who is a very good team at home. ISU is a live dog in this game and could easily upset here. The best way to place a bet here is on ISU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"I'm proud of our guys' resolve in the second half. We got off to a great start in the first half. We got up 13-0 and then played poorly in the second quarter. We got out of rhythm on offense and didn't tackle well on defense. I was a little upset at halftime.” - Chris Klieman after his team’s win against TT in their last game.

"I think the quarterback has to have great precision to detail. We'll have to look at the video tape and see what that looked like and he can continue to go forward. He had some positive moments and some moments he wants back." - Matt Campbell after his team’s loss against Kansas in their last game.
