Kansas vs Arkansas Prediction

The current betting odds have Arkansas listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Arkansas did not have a very good season this year considering the great season they had last year and they are already looking to get the bad taste out of their mouths from that last loss of the regular season. Kansas had a very good start to the season as they started 5-0 and looked unstoppable as they were on their way to a Bowl game quite early in the year, but things really went downhill for them after losing their starting QB and they had a terrible 2nd half to the season as they just barely became Bowl eligible with 6 wins after starting the year 5-0. They have been a very bad program for years though so making it back to a Bowl game here was a big accomplishment for them. Arkansas is still an SEC team though and they are a lot better than Kansas is with their backup QB, Arkansas is also looking to end their season off with a win after the way things went for them this season. They will be more motivated to bounce back here and they have a much better team anyway. The best way to place a bet here is on Arkansas to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"I think any time you can end your season with a win and playing well, it helps the momentum as you head into the second semester, winter conditioning, spring ball. It helps you in recruiting, again with the extra exposure. And for us to play a quality opponent and a team from the SEC, I think is also another feather in our cap so to speak that we can continue to gain confidence as we continue to build our program." - Lance Leipold on getting a win in this Bowl game against Arkansas.

“We’ve got a very disappointed locker room right now and we’d certainly like to get this taste out of our mouth in a bowl game but this is going to be hard to get rid of.” - Sam Pittman after his team’s loss against Mizzou in their last game of the regular season.
