Jaguars vs Saints Prediction

The current betting odds have the Saints listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Saints haven't been great this season with their 3-3 record overall but their defense has been keeping them in a lot of their games even when the offense isn't performing well. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have looked a lot better in their last few games now that they have won 3 games in a row but they are also dealing with an injury to their starting QB ahead of this game on a short week. Without Lawrence starting, this is a really different Jags offense and even with Lawrence in there he will struggle against this defense with his knee injury. The Saints offense hasn't been that great but they are still finding ways to move the ball with Carr and they have a ton of talent on their offense too. This is a better spot for the Saints at home on a short week in a game where their defense will show up big. The best way to place a bet here is on the Saints to cover the spread in this game.

Jaguars Saints Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Thursday, October 19, 2023 (8:15 pm ET start time) is Saints 23 Jaguars 13.

Notable Quotes

“I think it’s a glimpse of what we can be. There are still some areas that we have to clean up, obviously. The team really in these last three weeks kind of figured some things out, figured out who we are as a football team. That’s exciting to see. They really embraced that.” - Doug Pederson after his team’s win against the Colts in their last game.

“Just way too many mistakes and way too many missed opportunities.” - Dennis Allen after his team’s loss against the Texans in their last game.
