Iowa State vs BYU Prediction

The current betting odds have BYU listed as a 10.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. BYU has looked great in their games this season with their 4-0 record overall and their 2-0 conference record which has them right near the top of the Big 12. They have looked great on their home field too with their 2-0 home record this season. Meanwhile, Iowa State hasn't looked bad this season with their 3-2 record overall and their 1-1 conference record which has them right in the middle of the Big 12. They haven't been a good road team though with their 0-1 road record this year. Iowa State is coming off a 45-42 win over West Virginia in their last one and their offense looked great. That was one of their best offensive performances of the season, but that hasn't been a common theme for them this year and now they are on the road against a stronger defense. Their only loss in the conference was at home against Utah and they weren't too competitive in that one when faced with one of the strongest teams in the Big 12. They are going to have a lot more trouble against this BYU defense that hasn't been giving up many points this year. BYU is coming off a 17-10 road win over TCU and their offense looked terrible in that one, but the defense was really good and the offense ended up doing just enough to get the job done. BYU is still one of the best teams in the Big 12 though and they have looked a lot better in their home games, so that offense is going to look better in this game and they will be looking to play better as a whole. Iowa State has only played 1 road game this year which wasn't an easy environment, losing to Iowa 16-13, but even though this isn't a rivalry game, this environment isn't going to be any easier for them. The best way to place a bet here is on BYU to cover the spread in this game.
