Iowa vs Rutgers Prediction

The current betting odds have Rutgers listed as a 7.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Rutgers has been playing well in their first 3 games of the season. Greg Schiano has really improved on this program in the short time he has been there and the results are starting to show on the field. Their offense is not great but they do move the ball in their games and their defense is what really keeps them in with a chance to win. Iowa is very similar as they have one of the best defenses in the Big Ten this year but their offense has been terrible as they have struggled to score points on offense or even move the ball up the field. Rutgers has a much better offense here, they will struggle to move the ball as this defense is very good but this is a game where the defense will have to score some points or the offense has to get moving as Rutgers will eventually move the ball downfield and find ways to score here. This is likely going to be a very low scoring game where both defense shine, but there will not be enough offense or scoring from Iowa to cover the spread in this game. Rutgers could even pull off an upset being at home here. The best way to place a bet here is on Rutgers to cover the spread in this game.
