Pacers: 1-3 (Eastern Conference)
Raptors: 1-3 (Eastern Conference)
Both these teams are struggling on the court for wins… both these teams have better prospects than your average Eastern Conference loser. For the Pacers Caris LaVert and TJ Warren are missing from the healthy playing lineup… When they are back this is a deep playoff team. For the Raptors, emerging star Pascal Siakam is missing… and in his place the rookie Scottie Barnes is balling out…. So if the Pacers get their players back they are a winner… if the Raptors get their player back… they should trade him. An NBA roster is always either growing or receding… Pascal was the breakout star that got a big contract, but if Toronto is going to miss the playoffs they should move Pascal for players to play with Scottie. It’s a new day in Toronto… It’s waiting for the starters in Indiana.
Al McMordie's on a 76-43 ATS run after cashing the Brooklyn Nets and New Orleans Pelicans last night. And Big Al's firing tonight on another HUGE PLAY in the NBA. Pacers vs Raptors Preview and Analysis.
RECENT FORM
The Pacers have lost to the Chalotte Hornets 123-122, The Washington Wizards 13134 in overtime, and the Milwaukee Bucks 119-109. They have beaten the Miami Heat 102-91 in overtime. They have been close in every loss… they are still losing. Getting back an entire starting set of guards will change everything.
The Raptors have lost to the Washington Wizards 98-83, the Dallas Mavericks 103-95, and the Chicago Bulls 111-108. They beat the Boston Celtics 115-83. They aren;t the team that won the NBA finals a few years back. Kahwi is gone, Kyole Lowry is gone, center, power forward etc etc… time to make a change. Fred VanVleet was given a big contract as a bright spot on a winning team… he should go with Pascal for a strong return that boosts the obvious future with Scottie Barnes. Toronto is dropping because they aren’t the same team.. They do, however have the same really smart front office for a quick rebuild.
Offensive Analysis
The Indiana Pacers have an offensive rating of 109.9. They are tied for 17th with 12 teams… that tie will be broken in a couple games because of the small sample size. The Pacers will end up in the low 20’s.
The Raptors are in that 12 team tie for 17th in offensive rating with 100.5. If the tie were broken today they would be in the bottom of the league. It’s a long season but the Pacers have empty cupboards when it comes to scorers and top shelf defenders.

Coaches:
Pacers: Rick Carlisle. The man is back after wasting 12 years of his life working for Mark Cuban. He has a great young frontcourt… he will make something of this.
Raptors: Nick Nurse. Nick stayed too long at the party. His NBA Finals win will give him a great resume going forward, but the pieces left on the team are all young and unproven. He should have looked around… I hope he sold a lot of hats!
