Illinois vs UConn Prediction

The current betting odds have Illinois listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Illinois has looked really good in their games this season with their 28-8 record overall and their 15-5 conference record which had them right near the top of the Big Ten. They are also 6-3 in their neutral site games this season. Meanwhile, UConn has looked really good in their games this season with their 33-5 record overall and their 17-3 conference record which had them right near the top of the Big East. They have looked great in their neutral site games too, going 9-1 in those. UConn has been rolling in this tournament and they are off a huge upset win over 1 seed Duke in their last one. They have been beating some solid teams on their way to the Final Four, but that is going to start catching up to them sooner or later as they have been playing with fire in their last 2 games. They blew a 20 point lead in their win over Michigan State and now they are off a win over Duke in a game which they were trailing by 20 points at one point. They were very lucky to win that game though as Duke made a lot of mistakes down the stretch to hand it to them. Illinois has also been rolling in this tournament and even though they haven't had nearly as tough of a path, they do have a really good win over Houston in a game which they were the better team in from start to finish. Illinois has looked like the better and more stable team throughout this tournament and they are going to be out for revenge in this one. UConn did beat Illinois at the start of the season, but these are two different teams now and UConn won't be able to continue digging their way out of holes. The best way to place a bet here is on Illinois to cover the spread in this game.

Illinois UConn Prediction:  Our NCAAB Pick for Saturday, April 4, 2026 (6:09 pm ET start time) is Illinois 77 UConn 71.
