Illinois vs Nebraska Prediction

The current betting odds have Nebraska listed as a 7.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Nebraska had a terrible start to their season and even had to fire their head coach because of it but their interim coach has taken over the team now and has already been improving them in their last few games. Nebraska is 2-2 in conference play right now and they just played a really good game against Purdue in their last one, losing by 6 points but that was a game where they just wouldn't go away no matter how much Purdue tried to pull away. Illinois has been very good this season at 6-1 but their success stems heavily from their defense which has been keeping them in a lot of games. They are not a team that scores a lot of points on offense and a lot of their wins this year have been really low in scoring. They will try to use their defense here at home to stop Nebraska on offense and try to win the game that way as they are not built to pull away in their games with big leads since their offense is not that great. Nebraska has been a lot better in their games lately though and they are the kind of team that will stick around in this game, especially if it stays more defensive and lower scoring. The best way to place a bet here is on Nebraska to cover the spread in this game.
