Texans vs Jaguars Prediction

The current betting odds have the Jaguars listed as an 8.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Jaguars lost their last game in a low scoring battle against the Chiefs but they still played really well in that game despite losing 17-9. They still have a divisional win under their belt already which they earned in a road win against the Colts to open up their season and now they are getting another divisional game at home this time and against one of the worst teams in the league. The Texans played a lot better in their last game at home as their offense got moving and did put up some points, but they still lost the game 31-20 and weren't able to do anything offensively on the road in week 1. They are going to be facing another good defense on the road here and the Jags are going to be looking to bounce back after losing to the Chiefs again. The Jags have a lot more talent on both offense and defense which will make it really hard for the Texans to move the ball like they struggled in their 1st road game and eventually the Jags will pull away to the point where there will be no way back in this game for the Texans. The best way to place a bet here is on the Jaguars to cover the spread in this game.

Texans Jaguars Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, September 24, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Jaguars 31 Texans 10.

Notable Quotes

“Guys are still going out trying to do the best they can do. Doing the job that we ask them to do. Of course, we would like it better. Don’t want to see the quarterback get hit. But I thought the offense took a move in the right direction today, got better overall.” - DeMeco Ryans after his team’s loss against the Colts in their last game.

“It’s Week 2. I mean, my gosh. Those guys are ticked off in there. They're mad. But it’s so early in this season that one game’s not going to define who we are and it’s not going to define our season.” - Doug Pederson after his team’s loss against the Chiefs in their last game.
