Texans vs Colts Prediction
The current betting odds have the Texans listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Texans looked great last season with their 10-7 record overall which got them into the playoffs by winning the AFC South. They looked great and they were only in their 1st season of Ryans being a head coach and Stroud being in the NFL. Now both of them enter their 2nd season in the league and there should be some major improvements to this team. They acquired Joe Mixon as their new running back and they also picked up Stefon Diggs from the Bills to add some more weapons to this really good offense. Meanwhile, the Colts were 9-8 last season but missed the playoffs. They also had a rookie quarterback with Anthony Richardson, but his season ended early due to an injury. Now he is in his 2nd season too, but it is still more like his 1st season in the NFL as Stroud has a lot more playing time under his belt. The Colts still have a lot of weapons as they were able to go .500 with their backup QB, but there is still going to be a bit of a learning curve for Richardson this season while Stroud is ready to go in year 2. The Texans have built up this team from last season by adding a lot more talent and they are in a better situation to win this season. The best way to place a bet here is on the Texans to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes
“Going into my second year, like been in the league for a long time now. As a player, as a coach, so for me, I understand you know what the season entails, and you take it one day at a time. That is how I approach the season, that's how I approach life. Enjoy the moment. Enjoy each day that we have. Of course, there will be ups and downs in life, but may you attack every day with the right attitude, and everything will be just fine.” - DeMeco Ryans on his mindset coming into his 2nd NFL season as a head coach.
“Shoot, are you going to limit Steph Curry from shooting three-pointers? Well, that’s one of Anthony’s strengths. So, we’re not gonna get away from that. That’s what he does well.” - Shane Steichen on limiting Anthony Richardson running the ball this season.
