Another game of this Astros/Angels series.  The Astros popped the Angels in the mouth for a 4-2 win in Friday night’s game.  That trend will keep rolling.  Let’s check the numbers and laugh in the face of the betting lines.

A National League West matchup between the best team and the almost worst team.  In fact if the Athletics would do everyone a favor and disband… the Angels would have no easy wins anywhere.  The Astros are diehard cheaters… everyone knows it… everyone has seen it… don’t stop booing kids!.  However the Astros also have a good roster.  The Astros have a firm place in the playoff standings and race for the postseason.  The Angels have two Hall Of Fame Superstars… both have been nodded at as the best player in baseball (Ohtani and Trout)... and the Angels management and ownership have flushed all of it down the toilet.  They failed to build anything around these great players.  Great players who will not sign Angel extensions ever again.  Both guys would rather move to a contender for less money (this is confirmed from inside information), both guys would rather be traded yesterday, both guys would rather burn their uniforms than play another day for the geriatric incompetents that have ruined the Los Angeles AREA from having two great teams and ever seeing a freeway World Series.  The Angels have announced they are for sale… anyone buying would be better than who is in charge now!  Yuck.  Also the Astros are favored but not heavily… So to find the Great Betting Opportunity we have to really look at the pitchers.

The Houston Astros have won 7 of their last 10 games and come into this series on a 3-game winning streak.  We know the names… Yordan Alvarez, Justin Verlander, Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman… and this is yet another quality season for the daft cheaters.  The city of Houston is wonderfully vibrant with world class cuisine in every neighborhood.  Too bad they have to watch the Grand Ol’ Pastime while hiding their identities behind sunglasses, caps, and veils.  Shame Houston.  However they went 2-0 against the Texas Rangers, 1-2 against the Baltimore Orioles, 3-0 against the Minnesota Twins, and 1-1 against the Atlanta Braves.

The Los Angeles Angels have won 5 of their last 10 games in a magical 10 game stretch for this club… In fact they are 5-1 in their last six games every core starting pitcher has gotten a win over the last six games,,, The Loss came from Mike Mayers who is best described as an “ERA disaster”... They went 2-1 against the drastically swooning New York Yankees… August has been unkind to NYY, They went 3-0 against the Toronto Blue Jays in a magical SWEEP, and got SWEPT 0-4 against the Tampa Bay Rays.  It has been a roller coaster of feelings.  This team is surely hateable… but they can win the occasional game… so let’s check the numbers.

Our prediction for Sunday, September 4th is… Astros 5 - Angels 2
