NBA Standings
Warriors: 48-29, 3rd place Western Conference
Kings: 29-49, 12th place Western Conference
An NBA Western Conference matchup between a team that has been struggling for the last month and a team that has been struggling for the last two decades. The Golden State Warriors are the NBA’s most recent dynasty. The Warriors have spent the last few seasons at the bottom while they handled the loss of Kevin Durant to free agency (tantrum) AND the loss of SG Klay Thomspon to multiple knee injuries. During their time outside of the spotlight they drafted and traded well. They made such smart moves that when this season began … They were back in the mix for best team in the NBA. PG Stephen Curry and PF Draymond Green are undeniable and when they added SF Andrew Wiggins, SG Jordan Poole, SF Jonathan Kuminga, and an assortment of others… The team was ready to go when SG Klay Thomspon returned from 2 ½ seasons absent. Unfortunately Draymond Green got hurt and now Steph Curry is hurt… the Warriors have dipped from #2 in the West (and the NBA) to #4 in the West. The Sacramento Kings have not been good in 20 years… everytime they threaten to be good the front office screws up the roster or misses on a lottery pick. They Kings do not attract free agents because of the dull cowtown they are located in… they picked up PF/C Domantas Sabonis at this year’s trade deadline… They earned failing grades by all the prognosticators because they gave up their best young guard (Halliburton) to get him. The Titanic’s deck chairs look mighty fine in Sacramento.
The Golden State Warriors have only won 3 of their last 10 games. They went 4-6 ATS during that stretch. They are on a dreadful 5-game losing streak. The absence of PG Stephen Curry is just as devastating as the earlier absence of PF Draymond Green. The team needs both guys to make the show run… when they have both guys they are almost a perfect team. C James Wiseman, the #2 pick of the 2020 draft has been out all season with a knee injury.. He gave a return a try, but it did not work out. After some swelling of the knee James was shut down again. They will try him next season. The failure to get Wiseman healthy and failure to address the Center position at the trade deadline will severely hamper the Warriors. At full health this is a great team, but they have no one who can match up to Rudy Gobert, Deandre Ayton, Steven Adams… and no one has anyone that can match up with Nikola Jokic. The Warriors will be bounced from the playoffs, maybe very early. As for this game?
The Sacramento Kings have won 5 of their last ten games. A real uptick for them. They went 6-3-1 ATS during that stretch. PG De’Aaron Fox suffered an injury in a loss against Miami and will miss the rest of the season. The team then got turned over to PG Davion Mitchell who led the team to back to back wins… but before you get too excited both those wins were against the Houston Rockets. The injury list is filling up for the Kings… Sabonis tweaked a knee last game and will miss the last 5 games, Richaun Holmes will miss the rest of the season with personal issues, Terrence Davis, Fox… it is growing as the Kings simply do not want to keep winning games and hurt their draft position. This should be noted… OKC, Houton and Orlando are all sitting anyone who might disrupt the losing… the Kings want a part of that action in a big way.

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings Game Prediction
Our prediction for Sunday, April 3rd is…. Warriors 130 - Kings 101
The Warriors will roll the Kings in the ultimate “get right” game. The Kings are running out of mediocre players and forced to start simply bad players (except Davion who they have yet to break).
