Warriors vs Timberwolves Prediction

The current betting odds have the Timberwolves listed as a 10 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. This is game 2 of a 7 game series between the 6th seeded Timberwolves and the 7th seeded Warriors from the Western Conference for the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs. The Warriors are leading this series 1-0 after winning game 1 on the road. The Warriors took a 1-0 series lead with a 99-88 win over the Timberwolves in the 1st game of this series and they took that game over right from the start. The Warriors had a big lead in that game by halftime and they never really looked back as they added to that lead in the 2nd half and held on, even with the Timberwolves outscoring them by 9 in the 4th quarter. Steph Curry also left that game with an injury and they were able to hold on without him, but now he could be unavailable for this game and that will be a huge blow to their lineup. Hield was able to pick up the slack in that last game and has had 2 good games in a row now, but he is not going to keep that up here, especially with the Timberwolves looking to bounce back. Curry and Butler are both a big part of the offense so it is a big deal when either player is out, and even though they won game 1, the Warriors still couldn't put up 100 points in that one. The Timberwolves are going to come out a lot stronger in this game to even up the series and they can take advantage of this weakened Warriors lineup without Curry. The best way to place a bet here is on the Timberwolves to cover the spread in this game.

Warriors Timberwolves Prediction:  Our NBA Pick for Thursday, May 8, 2025 (8:30 pm ET start time) is Timberwolves 111 Warriors 92.
