Warriors vs Rockets Prediction

The current betting odds have the Rockets listed as a 2 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. This is game 2 of a 7 game series between the 2nd seeded Rockets and the 7th seeded Warriors from the Western Conference for the 1st round of the NBA playoffs. The Warriors are leading the series 1-0 after game 1. The Warriors took a 1-0 series lead on the road with a 95-85 win over the Rockets in game 1. The Warriors had to go through the play-in tournament to get here, beating the Grizzlies in the 1st game, and they rolled into Houston in game 1 of this series and beat the Rockets at their own game. The Rockets have one of the best defenses in the NBA, but the Warriors played the Rockets game in their own building and completely outplayed them. The Warriors have a lot more playoff experience on their side with the Rockets being a very young and inexperienced team, but they are going to respond with a better effort in this game. The last thing they want is to go back to Golden State down 2-0 series and have to dig themselves out of a big hole on the road against players who have won the NBA Championship before. The Rockets will bring a much better effort in this game and they are going to throw everything they have at the Warriors to even up this series. The Rockets have a great defense that can shut down this Warriors team as they did hold them under 100 points in the loss, and they also have an offense that is a lot better than how they looked in game 1. The Warriors already flipped this series with that road win so they won't have as much urgency to win this game as the Rockets will. The best way to place a bet here is on the Rockets to cover the spread in this game.

Warriors Rockets Prediction:  Our NBA Pick for Wednesday, April 23, 2025 (9:30 pm ET start time) is Rockets 108 Warriors 104.
