Warriors - Mavericks preview, prediction and analysis

Warriors: won 3 straight; won 137-114 at Timberwolves on Sunday
Mavs: lost 4 straight; lost 124-115 at Bucks on Sunday

I legit can't do it anymore with the Dallas Mavericks. I have tried and clearly, I have failed. Even when I pick against them, they still find a way to lose. And I'm not really sure how to take that other than maybe they are just that bad and we're about to go embark on a journey to where they just suck for the rest of the other days? But I guess we're going to find out again just how bad they are when on Tuesday night they have to face the Golden State Warriors in a rematch of last year's Western Conference finals, and I have no doubt in my mind that Dallas will likely lose this game too.

It boggles my mind how a team that was so strong on the defensive end last year, and retained everyone from said defensive team last year is suddenly the worst defensive team in the entire NBA. I'm not really sure what to think as it pertains to Dallas because when you have Luka Doncic on your team you should be able to win these games that they are losing. Look at Toronto the other night. They don't have two of their best players, they are down some of their important role players, and Dallas still finds a way to lose. That has been a theme all year with this Mavericks team but I am not one to look on the past I am trying to look into the future and the future tells me that Dallas is just horrendous.

It just doesn't make sense and I'm trying to figure out how this is possible. How is it possible that a coach who again took this team to the Western Conference finals last year is not playing his second-best player because of reasons that he can't explain in a postgame press conference? Jason Kidd is turning out to be the most horrendous coach I think we've ever seen because he doesn't know how to adjust on the fly and this is exactly why Dallas was not able to beat Golden State and go to the NBA Finals last year. It is because of his ineptitude as a coach and it is absolutely 100% the fact that he doesn't know how to play his best players. He doesn't know when to play rookies instead of veterans because Tim Hardaway is playing like garbage.

But no, we're over here trying to figure out how JaVale McGee is still playing any remote amount of time because nobody on this team can rebound and nobody in this team can block. And you're asking me to think that Dallas can go into a game against Golden State, the defending Champions that you lost to in the conference finals, and expect Steph Curry or Klay Thompson or Andrew Wiggins to not go off for a ridiculous amount of points? It is ridiculous that this team is so bad and I have no idea what more they need to do. It's not like they can trade anybody right now. Because why would they take off any potential depth of this organization?

Luca can put up 42-point triple-doubles with his eyes closed and dowels would still find a way to lose by 15. It makes no sense. And now because you have found out through the error of your ways that some random point guard who played at Real Madrid with your franchise cornerstone is really not all that good and is not as great as you like likely thought he was going to be over Goran Dragic, you have now put yourself in a position to where you are asking Kemba Walker to come out of sitting on his couch and hoping he gives you something.

You all remember Kemba Walker. You all remember that he was considered the savior of the Charlotte Hornets Once Upon a time and you all remember that he did not choose to sign with Dallas a couple of years ago and instead went to Boston only for that experiment to fall flat on his face. So as it happens every time Dallas misses out on the free agent they eventually get that free agent 2-3 years later and he's not as good as it used to be. Especially considering Kemba has literally sat on his couch for God knows how long and you are expecting him to come in and be a difference-maker right away?

So help this league if this man comes back and becomes the certified walking bucket that he used to be. I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but save the world if it does.

Prediction

no faith in Dallas whatsoever. Their defense got torched just by the simple ball movement between the warriors last year. You really think it's gonna be any better? I don't. Warriors by 14
