Georgia State vs Army Prediction

The current betting odds have Army listed as a 7.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Army didn't play last week so they are very rested having last played 2 weeks ago. Their last game was a 49-10 win over Villanova from the FCS but they played very well in that game and will have a lot of confidence from that win since they executed their game plan well. GA State has had a terrible start to the season as they are 0-4 now and coming off a tough loss at home to a conference opponent. They didn't do a lot on offense in that game since they continued to make mistakes all game which caused a lot of turnovers, and their defense has been giving up a ton of yards all year too. Army uses the triple option well and they will score points in this game while keeping possession for long periods of time. They are going to ware down this GA State defense which already hasn't been great and Army will be able to get out to a big lead. The best way to place a bet here is on Army to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“You’ve got to find time to regroup during the week. We’re not going to beat these guys up or tire them out in practice. Most of our mistakes were mental mistakes, so the education in the classroom, the meeting room, is certainly going to be huge for us. If we can just eliminate those things right there, we could be a much different football team.” - Shawn Elliott on cleaning up some of his team’s sloppy play before their loss against CCU in their last game.

“We had a disappointing first couple weeks but getting that win this past weekend and getting back on track and singing in the locker room, I think we’re all feeling really good.’’ - Sam Barczak after their win against Villanova in their last game.
