Florida State vs Miami Prediction

The current betting odds have Miami listed as a 7.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Miami hasn't looked good at all in their games lately as they have been really struggling to win games in conference play and even in their last game they could only muster up a 2 point win in OT over a bad Virginia team. Miami is going to be ready for this game though with the Florida rivalry here and their coach is very aware that this is a game they cannot lose. They are at home too and they are going to bring all they have to beat this FSU team that has been very up and down this year. FSU has looked great in some of their blowout wins this season but they have looked terrible in other games as they have struggled on defense. They give up a lot of points and even though Miami hasn't been great on offense, they will score points in this game. Miami also has a better defense than FSU and it will keep the score close so they stay in this game. Miami would need a lot to happen in their favor to make it to the ACC title game this season but winning this game would mean a lot to them and they will be coming for the upset here playing with pride. The best way to place a bet here is on Miami to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"You sit there, and there were so many opportunities throughout that game to really put it away earlier and to play our best. I thought there was a lot of great performances." - Mike Norvell after his team’s win against GA Tech in their last game.

“It was always a date that was circled on the calendar and everybody. It just so happened that the national title for many years actually went through Tallahassee or through Coral Gables. The intensity, the level of play, the caliber of player, was always the highest. That was then. We’re in a building stage, so I don’t get stuck in nostalgia theater with our players and make sure everything is focused on the 2022 team and doing everything we can to keep getting better and progressing.” - Mario Cristobal on his team’s upcoming game against FSU here.
