East Carolina vs South Florida Prediction

The current betting odds have ECU listed as an 8.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. ECU just lost at home by 3 points to Navy in overtime and that is not a very good look on them since Navy doesn't have a very good team. USF has had even worse luck to start their season though as they have lost some bad games by a lot of points. They just lost last week to Louisville by almost 40 points and they really did nothing on offense in that game scoring just 3 points, and those points didn't come until the 4th quarter. Their opponent this week is not as strong but ECU still has a very good team and they are upset over the way their game ended last week. ECU has more weapons on their offense and their defense will be able to stop the South Florida offense from scoring a lot of points here since they have been bad all year. The best way to place a bet here is on ECU to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"If you want to put that game on anyone, put it on Holton Ahlers, don't put it on Owen Daffer. It's a full game. It came down to one kick because we missed a bunch of plays. It should have come down to a kick at the end of regulation. He should have had a chance to win it instead of trying to tie it in double overtime." - Holton Ahlers after his team’s loss against Navy in their last game.

"Obviously we are very disappointed. We played very poorly. We didn't coach well and we didn't play well that's the bottom line." - Jeff Scott after his team’s loss against Louisville in their last game.
