Another wild episode of “When bad teams play each other”!  An American League matchup between the awful Tigers and the also awful Angels… So why make a prediction?... Why bet on a game between awful teams?... The answer is simple:  MONEY!  It turns out that when great teams play each other it is hard to predict the outcome, but when bad teams play each other?... It is not only easier to predict the outcome but you tend to get a better return on your betting dollar.  The trick here is to stomach watching bad teams play!  The Detroit Tigers have nothing… literally nothing.  They have bad numbers all over the books and a roster that would look great in the minors…. The Angels are not much better.  The Angels have the bragging rights of having the two best players in the game (Ohtani and Trout)... outside of that they simply stink.  So let’s check the numbers against the betting lines and find our Great Betting Opportunity.

The Anaheim Angels have won 6 of their last 10 games in a rare resurgence of success.  It helps that P Shohei Ohtani got two wins as a pitcher and hit like a monster during this stretch.  Of course he will not be available to pitch in Game 1 versus the Tigers.  The Angels have horrible batting numbers and OK pitching.You would think that would be an easy fix for any team… just sign Juan Soto (when he was available)or 2-3 guys for the same money that would raise the numbers… but alas the team is for sale and no one in the front office will be spending a dime until the worthless owners have seen a return on their investment.  The incoming owners will have to scramble to either sell Ohtani or lose him to free agency soon.  Hey went 1-1 against the Houston Astros, 2-1 against the New York Yankees, 3-0 against the Toronto Blue Jays, and 0-2 to the Tampa Bay Rays.
