Pistons vs Pacers Prediction

The Pistons have been playing much better in their recent games as they have been winning most of their games this season in these last few weeks but they are coming into this game off of 2 straight wins. They have a very nice win against the 76ers at home and they also have a win on the road against the Thunder in that span. The Pistons played very well in both of those games and even though they were on the road in their last game, they still won that game and were in control of it over the Thunder for most of the game. They are going up against a Pacers team that has been awful recently and has been playing that way for most of the season. They have lost 6 straight games coming into this one and they have been dealing with a lot of injuries to most of their starters, with Haliburton being the only player showing up on a nightly basis and somewhat keeping them afloat despite all the losses still. They played a lot better in their last loss as they only lost to the Celtics by 5 points on the road and they will likely keep that up here at home and keep this game close as well as they are playing a team near the bottom of the standings. The Pacers actually sit higher than the Pistons in the standings but the Pistons have been the much better team recently and they have a lot of young talent that has been playing together all season long and is finally showing some great improvement toward the end of this season. The Pistons will win this game continuing on their streak but they will only win this game by a few points.

Notable Quotes

"We've got a lot of nicks and bumps. Saddiq's hip is a little banged up, Cade's back is a little banged up. And it gives us an opportunity to play a lot of the young guys. Probably if we were competing for a playoff position, they definitely could go out and play. We'll see going forward where they are." - Dwane Casey on his team’s win against the Thunder on Friday night.

"Obviously a bad start. The crowd got involved, and that's what got us going. We've just got to figure out how to bottle up that third and fourth quarter and second half and sustain it.” - Tyrese Haliburton on their loss against the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
