Lions vs Cardinals Prediction

The current betting odds have the Lions listed as a 5.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Lions haven't looked great in their games this season with their 2-2 record overall which has them right near the bottom of the NFC North. They haven't been a good road team either with their 0-2 road record this year. Meanwhile, the Cardinals haven't looked good in their games this season with their 1-3 record overall which has them right at the bottom of the NFC West. They haven't looked great on their home field either with their 0-1 home record this season. The Cardinals were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season and even though they aren't one of the winless teams after the first month of the season, they still might be one of the worst teams. They looked like they were going to turn things around quickly with an upset win over the Chargers right out of the gate, but that win looks a lot more cute now with the Chargers still being winless. The Cardinals have now lost 3 games in a row since that 1st win and they are coming off a 36-24 loss to the Giants in their last one, blowing that game in embarrassing fashion. The Lions haven't had the best start to their season, but they are a more talented team that has been in the playoff conversation for a few years now and this is going to be a nice game for them to get right. They are coming off a 32-26 loss to the Panthers, but their offense still looked good and they have been putting up a ton of points all season. Their defense has still looked terrible, but this Cardinals offense isn't going to be much of a challenge with how bad Brissett has been and they won't be able to keep up with this Lions offense even if they play well. The best way to place a bet here is on the Lions to cover the spread in this game.

Lions Cardinals Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, October 11, 2026 (4:25 pm ET start time) is Lions 35 Cardinals 24.

Notable Quotes

“We got ourselves in a hole there, which is frustrating. At the end of the day, we had our opportunities. Our defense came up with a stop and we had the ball with about with two minutes left to go win the game. And we just couldn’t get it done.” - Dan Campbell after his team’s loss against the Panthers in their last game.

“All three loses we’ve had over the last three weeks have been different. This one is going to sting. It's not going to be the most fun ride home. There are certainly things I know I could have done better. We have to get right back to work because no one is going to feel sorry for us.” - Mike LaFleur after his team’s loss against the Giants in their last game.
