Denver Broncos Analysis

The Broncos are coming into this game with a 4-4 record overall and they are 2-2 in their road games this NFL season where they will be in this game. They have lost 4 of their last 5 games but they are coming into this one off of a win in their last game that snapped a streak of 4 straight losses. They just squeaked by in their last game winning 17-10 against Washington in a game that was close the whole time but they managed to lead for most of that game. Teddy Bridgewater played alright in that game as he completed 19/26 passes for 213 yards and 1 touchdown. Melvin Gordon led the team in rushing with 47 yards and 1 touchdown on 10 carries. Tim Patrick led the receivers with 64 yards on 3 receptions while Courtland Sutton had 40 yards on 2 receptions. Jerry Jeudy was also back in the lineup coming back from an injury. Justin Simmons led the defense in that game with 7 solo tackles while Kareem Jackson was right behind him with 6 solo tackles and 1 assisted one. Malik Reed led the defense in sacks in that game with 2 while Simmons came away with 2 interceptions himself in that one. They have scored 157 points in their 8 games this season averaging 19.6 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 137 points against them allowing 17.1 PPG. The Broncos’ offense is averaging 338.3 YPG while their defense is allowing 325.8 YPG.

Dallas Cowboys Analysis

The Cowboys are coming into this game with a 6-1 record overall and they are 3-0 in their home games this season where they will be in this game. They have won 6 straight games since losing their regular season opener to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they are coming into this game off of a win against the Vikings in their last game. They won that game 20-16 in a game that they trailed for most of the first half but came back in the second half to take the lead and win in the fourth quarter, all with their starting quarterback Dak Prescott out of the lineup due to an injury. Cooper Rush played a solid game in that one as he completed 24/40 passes for 325 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Ezekiel Elliott led the team in rushing with 50 yards on 16 carries while Tony Pollard had just 26 yards on 7 carries. Amari Cooper had a very nice day as he led the receivers with 122 yards and 1 TD on 8 receptions while CeeDee Lamb had 112 yards on 6 receptions. Cedrick Wilson caught the other touchdown pass on 3 receptions for 84 yards as well. Micah Parsons led the defense in that game with 10 solo tackles and 1 assisted one. Randy Gregory recorded the only sack in that game for them while no one on the defense was able to come away with an interception in that one. They have scored 225 points in their 7 games this season averaging 32.1 PPG and they have allowed their opponents to score 162 points against them allowing 23.1 PPG. Their offense is averaging 454.9 YPG while their defense is allowing 366.4 YPG.

Broncos vs Cowboys Prediction

The Cowboys are coming into this game as a 9.5 point favorite with the latest odds according to Draftkings Sportsbook and online sportsbooks. The Cowboys still managed to win their game with a backup quarterback which just goes to show how good this offense really is. Their defense also played a great game only allowing 16 points in that one and really kept their team in the game. The Broncos have not impressed in their recent games and their offense has not even scored 20 points in any of their last 2 games and in 3 of their last 4. They just lost their best defensive player as well, Von Miller, in a trade to the Los Angeles Rams. The Cowboys are going to be able to overpower the Broncos with their offense and the Broncos will not be able to keep up. The best bet to place in this game is on the Cowboys to cover the spread here.
