NBA Standings

Mavericks: 46-29, 4th place Western Conference
Cavaliers: 42=33, 7th place Eastern Conference

A non-conference NBA matchup between teams that have no chance of facing each other in the finals.  The battle of the battle won’t win the war.  It will decide who is better, however.  The Eastern Conference has several teams knotted at the top and possibly in contention… While the Western Conference hasd a top 3 and only junk below them.  The Mavericks are playing to prove the Western Conference have a top four… while the Cavaliers are playing to declare that if they are all; healthy… the Eastern Conference is wide open.   The great betting opportunity between the two is about deciding literally which conference is open… which conference is holding better teams and why?.

The Dallas Mavericks have won 6 of their last ten games.  They went 5-5 ATS during that stretch.  The Mavericks won their last game versus the Utah Jazz who were missing Ridy Gobert.  Dallas saw 32 pts, 10 rbs, and 5 asts.  The way that Luka goes is the way the Mavericks go.  The entire rest of the roster is made of role players… good role players, but no stars.  The last star to be on the team with Luka was C Kristaps Porzingis… it didn’t fit or didn’t work. He got traded away at the deadline.  Luka Doncic is the new LeBron James… He scores, he assists, he rebounds, he touches the ball like it was your sister. Lukla is everywhere.  The role players that make up the rest of the roster will one day need a second star.  The field of the NBA demands it… at that moment Luka will deed to learn teamwork outside of the spotlight… He won’t need it this year.  We all look forward to the playoff matchup where Luka has 40 points a game or averages a triple double… and loses to the better team.

The Cavaliers are a great team that has lost its mojo.  They have only won 4 of their last ten games while going 2-7-1 ATS.  They are a bad betting opportunity but a good team.  PG Darius Garland has announced himself as a top-tier player.  Darius has great games every game.  He is surrounded by a quality roster that is waiting for something.  Lauri Markkanen had a great 20 point game against Orlando…but C Evan Mobley and SG Caris LaVert had bad games. Evan exited the game against Orlando with a twisted ankle.. Already C Jarrett Allen is out with a finger injury.  If both guys stay out… the Cavaliers have no reason to keep punching… it is all about next season.  Next season they get 20 ppg PG/SG Collin Sexton re-joining the team with PG/SG Darius Garland and C Jarrett Allen and PF Evan Mobley, and hopeful;ly by then Pf Kevin Love will be gone… That team.  THAT TEAM!  Next year is a full contender with a free trade built in (Lauri Markkanen + picks).  Will they even try against the Dallas mavericks?  Should I put $$ on this?

Dallas Mavericks vs Cleveland Cavaliers Game Prediction

Our prediction for Wednesday, March 30th is…. Cavaliers 118 - Mavericks 109

The Cavaliers will win the game outright.  They have better starters and depth.  The splinter in the toe is of course that Luka can go off… but this is a game that Luka will go oof but the cavaliers will beat theMavericks at the oher positions.
