We’re coming down the home stretch of the NFL season and there’s still a lot left to get excited for on your TV screen (or your streaming device if you’re like me and watch Sunday Ticket on a Fire Stick. That works, too). Nevertheless, the final few weeks of the regular season are going to be hectic for everyone on the field, but just as much as everyone off it. You’re probably going to need to figure out which plays are the best ones in terms of teams sitting the star players for the playoff advantage, or which teams are going all in for the final playoff push. If you need that extra push, trust that our champion handicappers can get the job done for you. Matt Fargo has a 17-9-0 run over the last 30 days in the NFL. Brian Bitler has continued to stay consistent, despite a wild, unpredictable season, by going 16-9-0. Do you want a piece of this action? Cowboys - Titans preview, analysis and prediction

Last week
Cowboys: won 40-34 vs. Eagles
Titans: lost 19-14 vs. Texans

Cowboys analysis

I'm not quite sure where I am on the fence of the Dallas Cowboys being a fraud or not heading into the playoffs, but they are still alive for the most part and they are still very much a favorite to get out of the NFC and make the Super bowl. But then you have instances on Saturday where Dallas goes up against the backup quarterback in a game that really did not mean much in the grand scheme of things because of how they blew things the week before, and the Cowboys still almost lost that game. A game that should not have been as close as it was ended up going to the final few plays with Dallas winning 40-34 over the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Eve. Not only was it a rare back door cover for Dallas being four point favorites because jalen hurts wasn't playing, but at least Dallas did get the victory and somewhat put the bad taste of losing to Jacksonville last week out of their mouths. Despite throwing a pick six that is more traumatizing than anything that he's done, dak Prescott rebounded nicely with 347 yards and three touchdowns, two of them going to CeeDee Lamb who finished with 120 yards on 10 receptions. While the ovens, particularly the passing game concerns me a little bit, it's the defense that is a big problem right now. This is a defense that has been good all year long, and in the last two games they have allowed 23 points from the Houston Texans, overall 40 from the Jaguars, and then 34 this past Saturday. This team cannot cover the past right now, which is going to help them a lot against Tennessee, and Dallas is just in this weird spot of purgatory and misunderstanding.

Titans analysis

Well the Tennessee Titans need some help in order to get back to the playoffs because one more loss will essentially end things. Tennessee has fallen hard over the last number of weeks and are in a position where the Jacksonville Jaguars can win the AFC South if they were on the table or continued to get help in the way that they got last week with Tennessee losing to the Houston Texans and the fashion that they did. Funny enough, Jacksonville cannot clinch the division with a Tennessee loss and another Jacksonville victory, now Albert confirming that this will indeed go to the final week of the season when the Titans play the Jaguars. But Tennessee has completely fallen off a Cliff with five straight losses three of them by a single digits, and now they do not have Ryan Tannehill for the remainder of the season due to injury. So it is on rookie quarterback Malik Willis to find a way 2 pull off the miraculous victory. The problem right now, however, is that Tennessee cannot rely on Willis to be someone that can throw the ball and do it effectively. Willis is coming off a game in which he threw for 99 yards on 14 of 23 passing and also tossed 2 interceptions against the Houston Texans. Derrick Henry ran for 126 yards and a touchdown, but if that's all he can do at this point, it is going to be a huge struggle for Tennessee. Not to mention having lost five straight, Tennessee has also gone 0-4-1 against the spread in the last five. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Prediction

I should be very concerned about how Dallas handles this game, but it is right there for the taking. Tennessee cannot throw right now, Dallas can stack the box and play the run, and be able to win this game with ease along with covering. The road team has covered in the last four meetings, and I expect that to be five when this game is over. Cowboys 31, Titans 14
