Sun Devils vs Utes Preview and Analysis

RECENT FORM
This is a battle of Mountain West underdogs.  The fun part is when they play each other it’s still college football with a spread and point total and all the great betting action.

The Colorado State Rams opened the season with a loss to South Dakota State 42-23. Game 2 was a loss to Vanderbilt in a close contest 24-21.  Game 3 was a big win over the Toledo Rockets 22-6.  Game 4 was a loss to #5 ranked Iowa in Iowa City 24-14… they hung in there against a top 25 ranked team?.. You don’t see that often in the Mountain West.  Game 5 was a win against San Jose State 32-14.

The New Mexico Lobos have played six games and it all started out fun. They won their first game against Houston Baptist 27-17.  Game 2 was another win against New Mexico State 34-25.  Then they fell into a funk that lands them at the end of a four-game losing streak.  Game 3 was against the #7 ranked Texas A&M and it was a big loss 34-0.  Game 4 a loss to UTEP 20-13.  Game 5 a loss to Air Force 38-10.  Game six a loss to San Diego State 31-7.  “Lobos Surrender” said the headline that the New Mexico players would have seen if they looked at their phones on the flight home.
