As the college football regular season winds down, there hasn’t been a shortage of intrigue. That was again the case in Week 12, and it led to a major shakeup in the latest Top 10. Week 12 of the college football season produced plenty of chaos, as seven ranked teams went down — including two in the top 10.

The newest power ratings – remember, they aren’t rankings – saw plenty of movement ahead of Week 13. Some notable results came in the SEC as Alabama suffered its second loss of the year and Texas lost its third game as those two games had plenty of implications. With rivalry week approaching, the games are getting even more important across college football. But not enough to get the SEC from playing their week of cupcakes.

1. Ohio State (Record: 10-0)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. Rutgers Scarlet Knights

The Buckeyes are also the top team in the College Football Playoff rankings as they continue their dominant run through the 2025 season. Ohio State took care of business with a 48-10 win over UCLA on Saturday. The Buckeyes dominated on the ground with Carnell Tate out and Jeremiah Smith injured, running for 7.2 yards per carry while holding the Bruins to only 3.2 yards per attempt.

2. Indiana (Record: 11-0)

Week 13 Matchup: Bye

The Hoosiers take a perfect 11-0 record into their final bye week as they get ready for a rivalry matchup to close out the season. Heisman Trophy contender Fernando Mendoza dazzled once again in Week 12, leading Indiana to victory over Wisconsin on Senior Day. He threw for 299 yards and four touchdowns as IU got the 31-7 win. Indiana moved to 11-0 for the first time in program history with the 31-7 win. Mendoza showed why he’s the current betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy with a 90.7 passing grade and a 95.8% adjusted completion rate in the victory.

3. Texas A&M (Record: 10-0)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. Samford Bulldogs

It looked like Texas A&M was going to suffer a surprise blowout in Week 12 as the Aggies trailed South Carolina at halftime. But the Aggies completely flipped the script in the second half en route to a historic comeback victory over the Gamecocks. A&M completed the greatest comeback in school history in its 31-30 win over South Carolina. The Aggies trailed by 27 points at halftime before outscoring the Gamecocks 28-0 in the second half. It was also a tale of two halves for quarterback Marcel Reed, who had a 36.0 PFF grade in the first half and a 91.6 grade in the second.

4. Georgia Bulldogs (Record: 9-1)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. Charlotte 49ers

Gunner Stockton threw for four touchdowns and ran in one more to lead the charge for UGA, which picked up its sixth consecutive victory. It also marked the Bulldogs’ SEC finale as they head into their last two non-conference games with a 7-1 mark in conference play. Georgia dominated No. 10 Texas by a 35-10 final score. The Bulldogs’ defense missed only two tackles in the win and now leads the nation with a 92.5 tackling grade on the season.

5. Ole Miss Rebels (Record: 10-1)

Week 13 Matchup: Bye

Florida gave Ole Miss all it could handle, but the Rebels survived with a 34-24 victory. Kewan Lacy ran all over the Gators to the tune of 224 yards and three touchdowns, with 138 yards after contact and 14 forced missed tackles. After the off week, Ole Miss will play its rivalry game against Mississippi State on Black Friday. In the meantime, though, all eyes are on Lane Kiffin’s future as rumors continue to swirl.

6. Texas Tech (Record: 10-1)

Week 13 Matchup: Bye

Since a loss to Arizona State, Texas Tech has been firing on all cylinders en route to a four-game win streak. Just like that, the Red Raiders are now at No. 5 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Tech now has 10 wins in a season for the first time in 17 years following a 48-9 drubbing of UCF. David Bailey continued to show why he’s arguably the best pass-rusher in college football with six pressures and a 91.1 pass-rush grade.

7. Oregon Ducks (Record: 9-1)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. No. 14 USC Trojans

Oregon annihilated Minnesota on Friday night by a 42-13 final score. Despite missing two of his top three wide receivers, quarterback Dante Moore still finished with an elite 91.9 passing grade in the win. The Ducks play in the biggest game of Week 13 as they host USC in what’s a massive showdown for both teams’ playoff hopes. Oregon will welcome USC for a game which has not only Big Ten implications, but could shake up the national picture, as well.

8. BYU Cougars (Record: 9-1)

Week 13 Matchup: at Cincinnati Bearcats

BYU bounced back nicely from its loss to Texas Tech with a 44-13 win over TCU. True freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier generated a 91.4 passing grade in the victory while also running for 51 yards and a touchdown. Now the task at hand is very simple for BYU. A road win against Cincinnati on Saturday essentially clinches a ticket to Arlington. Even with a loss to UCF at home (highly unlikely), BYU would still get in under most tie breaking scenarios. The Cougars have not been nearly as dominant on the road as they have been at home.

9. Oklahoma (Record: 8-2)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. No. 23 Missouri Tigers

Oklahoma secured a massive victory for its playoff hopes with a 23-21 win over fourth-ranked Alabama. Turnovers told the story in that game, as the Crimson Tide gave the ball away three times — while the Sooners didn’t cough it up once. Oklahoma scored 17 of its 23 points off those turnovers, including an 87-yard pick-six by Eli Bowen. The Sooners didn’t win the box score, but they finished with more points than Alabama and that's how they decide wins and losses. It appears they are now two home wins against shorthanded Missouri and LSU away from making the playoffs.

10. Alabama (Record: 8-2)

Week 13 Matchup: vs. Eastern Illinois Panthers

A home loss to Oklahoma dealt a blow to Alabama’s spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. Even with the loss to Oklahoma, Alabama remains in the top 10. The Crimson Tide still have wins over ranked teams like No. 4 Georgia, No. 13 Vanderbilt, No. 21 Tennessee and No. 23 Missouri to fall back on. Alabama must beat Eastern Illinois and Auburn to close out its season to make the playoff.
