Club World Cup 2025 Group Betting

The FIFA Club World Cup is right around the corner now, starting on Saturday, June 14, 2025. In recent years, only a handful of clubs have qualified for the Club World Cup as it has traditionally been a smaller competition for the winners of each continent's version of a Champions League, but FIFA has opened up the competition to 32 teams this year, formatted similar to the World Cup. The competition will be made up of 12 European clubs, 6 South American clubs, 4 Asian Clubs, 4 African clubs, 4 North/Central American clubs, 1 Oceanic Club, and 1 auto from the host nation which is the USA. The current champion of the competition is Manchester City, the winningest club is Real Madrid with 5 titles, and a European club has won the competition the last 11 straight times. There are plenty of other ways to find value in this competition other than just betting a team to win the whole thing though. With the tournament less than a week away now, it is time to see what value there is in the group betting markets.

Group A: Group A consists of FC Porto +137, Palmeiras +175, Inter Miami CF +333, and Al Ahly Cairo +900. FC Porto is the favorite to win this group, but they are not even the strongest club in this group nor do they have the talent that some of the other clubs have. FC Porto was very good against the weaker clubs in their own domestic league, but they did not dominate the elite clubs in their own league. They only finished in 3rd place in their league, won no domestic cups, and they were not even in Champions League this season either, making it to the first playoff round of Europa League after the League Phase but losing to Roma in that round. Palmeiras is going to be a much bigger threat in this group as they are one of the biggest clubs in all of South America and have been dominating teams in the continent over the last few years. They also have the quality and the depth to make a deep run in this competition as this is 1 trophy that they have not collected yet. Inter Miami is also going to be a threat in this group as they have some of the better players in the world in their squad. This tournament is also being hosted in the USA where Messi and Miami play so they are going to draw large crowds no matter where they are in the country and that will give them a big boost in these matches. Al Ahly Cairo has had a good year as they were one of the better teams in Egypt this season and did make a deep run in their Champions League as well, but they were not the best team in Africa and their squad lacks the quality that some of these other teams have. Palmeiras and Inter Miami are the two strongest teams in this group, but Palmeiras has the better defense as they do not concede nearly as many goals as Inter Miami and that could be a key piece to winning this group which gives Palmeiras the advantage over the two. Palmeiras to win Group A at +175.

Group B: Group B consists of Paris Saint-Germain -138, Atletico Madrid +150, Botafogo +1000, and Seattle Sounders FC +2000. PSG is the favorite to win this group and they are certainly priced correctly with the season that they had. PSG won the Ligue 1 Title by 19 points over the 2nd place team, they won the Coupe de France, and they capped it all off with a 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League Final. PSG was the most dominant club in Europe this season, but Champions League has also been a very coveted competition for them to win over the last few years and after finally winning the title just 2 weeks ago at the end of May, they could be mentally fatigued in a big way and not as focused on this competition. It is tough to know how this team will turn around from that big Champions League and that leaves a great opportunity for Atletico Madrid, a team that was very good this season but did not take home any trophies. They finished in 3rd place of La Liga this year, got knocked out of Copa del Rey in the Semifinals, and they only made it to the Round of 16 in Champions League where they were kicked out by another Spanish club. Atletico Madrid has struggled a lot more against the better clubs in their own league, but that is not going to be a problem in this group for them. Botafogo has the potential to be a threat here as they did win Copa Libertadores last season and have been one of the better teams in Brazil over the last 2 years, but as good as they are, they do lack the quality that the two European clubs in this group possess. They have a very good defense that they tend to lean on, but their attack has struggled to score at times and that will get them into trouble in a group like this where the other clubs have very potent attacks. Seattle is also in this group, but they have struggled in their own domestic league this season, and they have the same problem as Botafogo with their defense being much better than their attack. PSG and Atletico Madrid are the two best teams in this group, but Atletico is going to be the hungrier team after the season they had and can capitalize on a PSG team that is going to be fatigued both physically and mentally. Atletico Madrid to win Group B at +150.

Group D: Group D consists of Chelsea -175, Flamengo +225, Los Angeles FC +600, and Esperance de Tunis +4000. Chelsea had a very good season this year as they improved a lot from where they were last season and even won the UEFA Conference League Title. They did not win any of their domestic cups, but they did finish in 4th place of the Premier League. That was a great finish for a Chelsea side that has been in the dumps the last few years and they are going to be a real threat in this tournament with the quality and youth they have in that squad, but that being said, they are still overpriced to win this group. Flamengo is the next team on that list and they are one of the bigger clubs in all of South America right now. They have been dominant in both the Brasileirao and Copa Libertadores over the years, and they might just be the most talented team in this group with the quality and experience they have in their squad. They are currently leading the Brasileirao to start their new season and they have not been winning many trophies over the last 2 seasons so there will certainly be a point of emphasis on this competition. LAFC is also in this group but they are very fortunate to even be in this competition. They are going to have some of the crowds on their side since this tournament is in the USA, but they only got a spot because Leon dropped out of the competition. They did beat Club America to earn this spot and they have been in better form recently, but they have still struggled a lot in the MLS this season and their defense has been a big problem for them, especially in matches where they have not been at home and LAFC will be playing all of their matches on the East. Esperance de Tunis is in this group as well and they are the best team in Tunisia with a very good defense that is not going to give up many goals, but they do not have a strong attack and that is what got them into trouble in their own Champions League this year. They also do not have the quality of players that some of these other clubs have so that makes them no real threat in this group. Chelsea is the favorite in this group, but they are still a young team that lacks experience in these competitions and Flamengo has the kind of seasoned players that can capitalize on that in this group. Flamengo to win Group D at +225.

Group E: Group E consists of Inter Milan -250, River Plate +225, Urawa Red Diamonds +1600, and Monterrey +2000. Inter Milan is the big favorite to win this group, but this is a ridiculous price for this team considering the position they are in coming into this tournament. They had a very good season overall as a team, but they had a very disappointing season in terms of results. They finished in 2nd place in Serie A as they were 1 point behind Napoli who won the Title. They also went to the Champions League Final which they lost 5-0 to PSG, and they also lost in the Coppa Italia Semifinals to their bitter rival AC Milan. This team has to be physically fatigued and mentally exhausted after coming up short in every competition they played in, and now they are going to have no motivation in this tournament as they just fired their manager as well. Inter is in a very bad position coming into this tournament and even though this is not the strongest group to be in, there are some good teams that can capitalize here. River Plate is the next team up and they are one of the biggest clubs in all of Argentina. They have the quality to do some damage in this group, but they have also struggled a lot more this year when not playing at home. They just had a very disappointing showing in their own domestic league as well, losing in the playoffs, and they have not won many trophies in recent years either. River Plate is a good team, but they are too inconsistent and have struggled to score goals away from home. Urawa Red Diamonds is also in this group but they are not a real threat as they are not having a great season. They are currently sitting in 3rd place of their domestic league, but they have not been in great form coming into this tournament and they have not played in a Champions League match since the 2023/24 season either. Monterrey is the last team in this group, but they might just have the best chance at winning this group. Monterrey finished in 7th place of their domestic league and lost to Toluca in the Semifinals, Toluca being the top team in Mexico, but Monterrey still has a lot of quality in their squad and they always show up in these matches when the stage is its biggest. They could also be a team that has a sneaky home advantage with the crowd on their side since they are playing all 3 of their matches in the group stage at the Rose Bowl. This is not a very strong group and Inter Milan is clearly the best team in it, but they are not in a great situation coming into this tournament so there is a lot of value in them underperforming. Monterrey to win Group E at +2000.

Group F: Group F consists of Borussia Dortmund -200, Fluminense +200, Ulsan Hyundai +1200, and Mamelodi Sundowns +2500. Borussia Dortmund is the favorite in this group and they have been in great form coming into this tournament. They finished this season 4th in the Bundesliga, but they won their last 5 matches to end the season and their defense was great in those. They also went to the Quarterfinals of Champions League this year, losing to Barcelona, and they got knocked out of the DFB Pokal quite early. They played very well this season, but they do not have any trophies to show for it and they actually took a step back from the season they had the year prior. Fluminense is the next team in this group and they have been in very good form in their recent matches coming into this tournament. As good as they have been in recent matches, they are still outside of the top 4 to start the Brasileirao season and they are not one of the more dominant clubs in the league this season either. Their defense is mediocre and their attack has struggled to bail them out at times as well. Fluminense is not going to be a true threat in this group, and neither will Ulsan Hyundai who is the next team in this group. Ulsan Hyundai has not been in great form coming into this tournament and they are not the dominant team in their domestic league this season either. Even when they were in Champions League last season, they failed to get out of the group stage. They are not going to be a true threat in this group, but Mamelodi Sundowns might just be a dark horse to win this whole group. Mamelodi Sundowns has been a very dominant team in Africa over the last year and they have a very good defense that is not going to concede many goals either. They finished at the top of their league table, winning the title by 12 points over the 2nd place team, and they also allowed just 13 goals in their 28 league matches. They have been in great form in their recent matches as well. They did just lose in the Champions League Final 3-2 on aggregate against Pyramids, but Pyramids is not in this competition making Mamelodi Sundowns the best African club in this tournament, and they have the great defense to get points in every match. Mamelodi Sundowns is a very good team that is going to be a dark horse in this group and this is some great value for the best team in Africa. Mamelodi Sundowns to win Group F at +2500.

Group H: Group H consists of Real Madrid -600, Al Hilal Riyadh +800, FC Salzburg +900, and Pachuca +2000. Real Madrid is the big favorite in this group and it is certainly not the strongest group for them to play in, but they have also been a very inconsistent team this year. They were very good in Spain this year, but they still fell short in all of their competitions, and they were even worse on the continental stage. They finished a close 2nd in La Liga, finishing 4 points behind bitter rival Barcelona who won the title, and they also lost to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey Final as well. They did even worse in Champions League as they were the defending champions and only made it as far as the Quarterfinal where they lost to Arsenal. Real Madrid is the strongest team in this group as they do have the most quality and depth out of all the teams, but they have struggled to put together all of that quality on the same pitch this season. That leaves them vulnerable to dropping points in this group, and the next team on this list can capitalize. Al Hilal Riyadh is next on the list and they have been a very dominant team over the last year. They finished in 2nd place of their own domestic league and they made it all the way to the Semifinals of their Champions League as well. They also have experience playing in this competition in recent years, and this is one of the teams where a lot of the aging talent in Europe has gone to play. Al Hilal has the quality in their squad to do some damage in this group and if Real Madrid were to come out flat in any matches, Al Hilal is the team with the best chance to capitalize. Salzburg and Pachuca are also in this group, but they do not have the quality to compete with the likes of Real Madrid so if there is any team that can do it in this group, it is Al Hilal and there is some great value in them at this price. Al Hilal Riyadh to win Group H at +800.

Inter Miami CF +150: Inter Miami is +150 to qualify from their group and this is some good value for the quality of this team. Inter Miami has been one of the more dominant clubs in the MLS since Messi joined, and he has helped transform this team with lots of quality players. Any team with Messi on the international stage should always be considered a threat, but Miami is also going to have the benefit of the home crowd since this tournament is being played in the USA. FC Porto is also largely overpriced in this group as Inter Miami is the 2nd best team in it and Messi will be driving this team to compete at an elite level. Inter Miami CF to qualify at +150.

Monterrey +300: Monterrey is +300 to qualify from their group and there is some good value in this price. Monterrey was mentioned earlier as a possible threat to even win their group with the strength of it so for all the same reasons here, they have a very good chance to qualify out of the group as the 2nd best team at least. Monterrey to qualify at +300.

Mamelodi Sundowns +500: Mamelodi Sundowns is +500 to qualify from their group and there is a lot of value in them at this price as they are largely undervalued. They were mentioned earlier as a possible threat to even win their group so for all the same reasons here, they have a very good chance to qualify out of the group as the 2nd best team at least. Mamelodi Sundowns to qualify at +500.

Al Hilal Riyadh +125: Al Hilal Riyadh is +125 to qualify from their group and there is some good value in this price as they are certainly the 2nd best team in the group. They were mentioned earlier as a possible threat to even win their group so for all the same reasons here, they have a very good chance to qualify out of their group as the 2nd best team at least.
