Guardians vs White Sox Prediction

The current betting odds have the White Sox listed as a slight favorite in this game. The White Sox were starting to play very well going into the All-Star break but they came out very flat as they lost their series opener against the Guardians by a lot. They split a series against the Guardians just last week and that series started out the same way, the White Sox getting smacked in the first two games but then coming back in the last 2 games. The Guardians have also been playing very well recently as they swept the Tigers going into the break and have continued their streak into this side of the break. They will have a much tougher challenge with Cease on the mound here as he has been one of the better starters for the White Sox this season, pitching very consistently in most of his starts. Bieber has also been having a great season for the Guardians as he has been pitching very well all season. This is likely going to be a close game that could turn into a low scoring pitcher's duel, so the under has a lot of value in this game. The best way to place a bet here is on the under but if looking for a side then go with the home team as they have the slight advantage being at home here and will be hungry to either win this series at home or bounce back in this game.

"It's a tough way to start the game. You initiate less than good contact and you don't get an out for it. That's what I saw. That's four runs, and two more. It wasn't his day." - Tony La Russa after his team’s loss against the Guardians on Friday.
