This has been a weird season to this point as we get through the second month of baseball season. The last 30 days, we've seen Jim Feist rack up plenty of good wins going 48-42-4 over the last 30 days. It's been an unpredictable season so far, but our champion handicappers have been doing well all season. Get on board and join the ride. Guardians - Orioles preview and analysis

Sure, it was the Baltimore Orioles, and even though they've exceeded many expectations through the first third of the season, they're still the Orioles. That being said, Shane Bieber also reminded the baseball world why he's so good.

Bieber took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning, but struck out 11 in the process to mow down the Orioles and give the Cleveland Guardians a 6-3 win in Camden Yards on Friday. The series resumes Saturday with the Guardians trying to go for their fifth straight win.

Bieber, the former Cy Young winner and Triple Crown pitcher, went seven innings and allowed two runs and walked two, but was overall dominant against Baltimore.

"Oh, I think that from pitch one," the Cleveland right-hander said when asked if he thought about a no-hitter. "Until I give one up. I think anybody that tells you otherwise is lying."

Offensively, it was a clinic from the Cleveland bats. Five of the first six batters in the order had at least two hits on the night, putting the pressure on the Baltimore pitching and defense. Bruce Zimmermann went 5.2 innings, but gave up five runs with two in the first and three in the third.

"We knew we needed to hit strikes, and he threw a bunch of strikes," Guardians manager Terry Francona said. "We did a good job early. We ran the bases very well early — aggressive and intelligent."

“Saw some good things, but I'm obviously not too excited with the results,” Zimmermann said. “I'm kind of a perfectionist.”

I think anyone in the Baltimore organization should be thinking of it that way considering things haven't been great the past few years. If you're not trying to be perfect while playing subpar baseball, what are you even doing?

Prediction

The Guardians will be sending Triston McKenzie to the mound, and his 2.65 ERA and 3-4 record is a sure indication that Cleveland's bats haven't been giving him a lot of run support. The way they've been hitting the ball lately, especially with Jose Ramirez turning it on at the right time, I don't see how Cleveland can't get McKenzie some runs to work with and win this game. Guardians win 7-4
