Bulls vs Heat Prediction

The current betting odds have the Heat listed as a 6 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Heat finished last season as the number 1 seed in the East but they were beaten by the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals and that series loss left a really bad taste in their mouths. After the season they just had last year they will have their sights set on the number 1 seed once again and they will be more determined than ever. The Bulls had a great season last year as LaVine and DeRozan really lit up a lot of teams, but they struggled in their road games with a record below .500 and the Heat were a very good team on their home court. The Heat still have all of their core starting talent as well as a lot of their depth while the Bulls have lost some of their support players and may not have the same explosive offense as they did last year. LaVine and DeRozan can both put up a lot of points but the Heat play great defense in their games and they will make the Bulls earn every point they get. The Heat's defense will play a big role in this game and the Bulls already had a hard time winning games on the road last year. The best way to place a bet here is on the Heat to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"He's basically going to start there for us. I feel very comfortable with him. I think with Goran, with where he is at this stage and point in his career, there is a huge impact he can make on our team but Ayo right now is going to be the guy back there for us, and I think he's done a really good job this training camp and preseason games." - Billy Donovan on naming Ayo Dosunmu the starting point guard.

"It's the versatility. That's what he can bring to whatever lineup. He can play off the ball. I think that's really helpful in that starting lineup. But he can also play with the ball and can be extremely dangerous in the pick-and-rolls off the dribble, in transitions. He pretty showed all of that in the short sample size (Wednesday)." - Erik Spoelstra on putting Tyler Herro in the starting lineup.
