Bears vs Falcons Prediction

The current betting odds have the Falcons listed as a 3 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Falcons haven't looked great in their games this season with their 2-3 record overall, but that record has them right near the top of the NFC South. They haven't looked good on their home field either with their 0-2 home record this season. Meanwhile, the Bears have looked good in their games this season with their 3-2 record overall, but that record has them right near the bottom of the NFC North. The Bears have been getting by lately without Caleb Williams, but now they are coming off a 31-7 loss to the Packers in their last one and their offense looked terrible. Their offense has been really up and down this season, looking like one of the best offenses in the NFL at times and then getting completely shut down in other games. The defense hasn't looked great either and that was a big issue for them against the Packers. The Falcons have also been really up and down this season, but they have consistently looked good when Penix has played at QB. They are coming off a 30-23 loss to the Ravens in their last one and they lost to a backup QB, but Penix also left the game injured in OT which allowed Tua Tagovailoa to throw the game ending INT. Penix did avoid a serious injury though and could be back for this week and that will make this Falcons offense really hard to stop for this Bears defense. The Falcons have the talent on offense to go toe-to-toe with the Bears if Caleb Williams is back and the Falcons also have the much better defense to be the deciding factor in this game. The best way to place a bet here is on the Falcons to cover the spread in this game.

Bears Falcons Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, October 18, 2026 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Falcons 23 Bears 20.

Notable Quotes

“The things that we had done well in the three victories that we had this year, they didn’t show up today. We didn’t take care of the football — five turnovers on offense. We didn’t execute at a very high level in the run game or the passing game. Defensively, we let the ball over our head too many times.” - Ben Johnson after his team’s loss against the Packers in their last game.

“We didn't do enough to win the game.” - Kevin Stefanski after his team’s loss against the Ravens in their last game.
