Season Record
Hornets: 5-4 (Eastern Conference)
Kings: 4-4 (Western Conference)
The Hornets seemed to start this NBA season as if it was a win or go home tournament. As streaks go, three games wasn’t the longest ever but it was enough to get NBA fans to tune into a Hornets live stream. Then it was over. They have gone 2-4 since. The Hornets have gone 6 Over and 3 Under so far. They are 5-4 ATS, identical to their record.
The Kings are .500 after 8 games. Not a contest goes by that makes me want to bet on the Kings. Sacramento has gone 2 Over, 5 Under and 1 Push. They are 5-3 ATS.
*WHITE HOT CAPPER ALERT* He may have gone 1-2 overall Wednesday but Ben Burns is still 16-6 the past five days. He's won five of the past six months and his NBA is on a 29-10 RUN. Yesterday's bkb plays split but Ben won his lone "top rated" (10*) release. All top plays are now 37-15 the L52. Even better, top rated hoops on a $95,350 PROFIT RAMPAGE! Go get it! Clippers vs Timberwolves Preview and Analysis.
RECENT FORM
The Hornets have lost to the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Golden State Warriors. The Hornets are still working out what lineup is the most productive on the court. They are on a two-game losing streak, but NBA basketball fans know that they are much improved.
The Kings have played 8 NBA games and still aren't under .500… might be a record. They have lost to the Utah Jazz, the Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz again. .. they beat the Portland Trail Blazers, the Phoenix Suns and twice the New Orleans Pelicans (without Zion Williamson, but with Jonas Valanciunas).
Offensive Analysis
The Charlotte Hornets are tied for 7th in the NBA on offense, they have a 111.1 offrtg. As recently as Saturday they were #2 in the league. Two losses in a row has them tied with Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies (who are missing Dillon Brooks)... They need to right the ship. They could start by improving the #15 in Free throws and #15 in FG%. The one thing they shouldn’t mess with is they are #1 in 3pt shooting percentage.
The Kings are 13th in points scored on the season. That’s a big improvement for the Kings. The Kings are #24th in the league in offensive rebounds… unfortunately that is about regular Kings losing basketball business. If only they had a young PF/C that had been a recent #2 NBA draft pick… that was wasting away on the bench. Maybe a fella like that could find his way to the court and play a good game on the boards?... Or maybe you could trade him… If only there were someone like that.
