Charlotte vs Florida International Preview and Analysis

Recent Form

Charlotte’s home opener last month at Jerry Richardson Stadium was against Duke and the 49ers won 31-28.  A close call, but Charlotte emerged the better team. Game 2 brought Gardner-Webb (that’s a college in the United States, I checked their blog post in the blog world) and Charlotte won 38-10.  Game 3 on the road against Georgia State ended in a loss for the 49ers 20-9.  Game 4 Charlotte regained their winning ways against Middle Tennessee 42-39.  Game 5 Charlotte travelled to face Illinois and lost 24-14.  So Charlotte is 3-2 having won three at home and lost both on the road.

The Panthers of Florida International have struggled mightily so far this season.  Game 1 they won their opener in a blowout against LIU 48-10.  Game 2 went to overtime against Texas State and FIU lost 23-17.  Game 3 was a big loss to Texas Tech 54-21.  Game 4 was a close game against Central Michigan, but FIU lost 31-27.  Game 5 against FL Atlantic brought another big loss to FIU’s record 58-21.
