Charlotte vs Florida Prediction

The current betting odds have Florida listed as a 28 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Florida started the season with that bad loss against Utah but they weren't that bad in that road game. They have played a lot better in their games since then and now they have the momentum with them after beating Tennessee soundly in their last game at home. Florida is at home again here but they have a much weaker team coming to play them. Charlotte has been terrible this season with their only win of the year coming against a team from the FCS. They were blown out on the road against Maryland and they also got destroyed at home by GA State in their last game. Biff Poggi is not happy with his coaching staff either so there are a lot of internal issues going on with Charlotte ahead of this game. Florida has looked a lot better in their last 2 games and they have the advantage of being at home again. Graham Mertz is starting to fit into this offense well and they have the defense to cause a lot of problems for this weak Charlotte offense. The best way to place a bet here is on Florida to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“This falls on me. I’m telling you right now, I’m on a warpath. I just met with our coaches, and we’re going to get it done the way I want it done — or either I’m not going to be here, or they’re not going to be here. I am not doing this for the rest of the season. I’m the head coach. I’m the guy that hired these guys. I’m the guy that set the vision. I’m the guy that brought the players in. I’m going to change my approach going forward. Coaches are going to be graded much more strictly. They’re going to be on a much tighter leash. If you don’t like that, we’ll get you another home. But I’m not doing this anymore.” - Biff Poggi after his team’s loss against GA State in their last game.

“It validates your plan, what you're selling to a degree. That's what you want as a leader. ... That's a lot more fun.” - Billy Napier after his team’s win against Tennessee in their last game.
