Panthers vs Saints Prediction

The current betting odds have the Saints listed as a 4 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Saints didn't make the playoffs last season but they came close with their 9-8 record overall, just losing the NFC South to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dennis Allen is entering his 3rd season as head coach of the team, but he is on a bit of a hot seat this year. The team has the talent to perform and he needs to start showing some results this season by at least making the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Panthers were the worst team in the NFL last season with their 2-15 record overall and now they are entering Bryce Young's 2nd season in the NFL with a brand new head coach. Canales was a great offensive coordinator for the Bucs last season and he will be looking to turn another quarterback around here, but there are still a lot of other glaring issues on this roster. Even with an improved season from Young, this team lacks a lot of talent on the roster and they are going to struggle to win games this season once again. They have a divisional battle on the road in this 1st game of the season and this is a game that Allen just can't lose with his job on the line this year. The Saints have a really intimidating building to play in with their home advantage and it isn't a place they looked good in last season. The best way to place a bet here is on the Saints to cover the spread in this game.

Panthers Saints Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, September 8, 2024 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Saints 24 Panthers 10.
