The Lions are entering this game with a 3-1 record overall and they have a 1-0 record in their divisional games too. They are 1-1 in their home games, 2-0 in their road games, and they are also 0-0 in their neutral site games this season, but they will be at home for this game. They won their last game against the Green Bay Packers 34-20. Jared Goff was the starting QB and he completed 19/28 passes for 210 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Panthers vs Lions Prediction

The current betting odds have the Lions listed as a 9 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Lions slipped up at home against the Seahawks after upsetting the Chiefs on the road in week 1 but they have looked really good in their last 2 games now. They have won 2 games in a row and will have a lot of momentum after going into Green Bay and beating the Packers in their last game. That game was also on Thursday night so they will have extra rest for this game while the Panthers are going on the road again with their 0-4 record. The Panthers came close to beating the Vikings last week who were also winless going into that game but they blew their lead as the offense wasn't able to stay on the field. Bryce Young has shown flashes in this offense but he has also struggled a lot and he will have a tough time on the road against this Lions defense. The Lions also have a lot of weapons on offense and they will wear down this Panthers defense throughout the game as the Panthers offense won't be able to keep sustained drives. Eventually the Lions will pull away in this game and there will be no way back in it for the Panthers. The best way to place a bet here is on the Lions to cover the spread in this game.

Panthers Lions Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, October 8, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Lions 31 Panthers 17.

“It just felt real different coming in with the group of guys that I'm with. I'm blessed to come out here with these guys and get the ‘dub.’ That's big for me.
