Burns' Top 5 Future Bets To Make Right Now (ASAP)

As the calendar year of 2025 comes to an end, this is the prime season of sports. College Football Playoffs. NFL Playoffs. NBA/NHL Seasons. College Basketball Conference Play. European Football in mid-season form. Tennis season begins. So much more. I'm ready to unleash my "Top 5 Future Bets To Make Right Now" list and you should make these ASAP before the lines move. All odds via. Draftkings Sportsbook as of Tuesday, December 23rd.

1. Buffalo Bills to Win the Super Bowl (+900)

While there's definitely teams that have looked stronger than Buffalo this season, I do believe that the Bills are going to be a problem for anyone that comes in front of them come January. They've been sent home by Mahomes one too many times and luckily for them, the Chiefs have already been eliminated from playoff contention. I was big on the Bills last season and I'm big on them again this year. In my opinion, Josh Allen is the best QB in the league. As a father in the near future, he's going to have even more motivation for brilliance and these odds are simply too good to pass up. Obviously, I like the Bills at +370 to win the AFC as well if you're looking for something that's a bit less of a long shot. But, as the season comes to a close, these odds could get smaller. So play this asap.

2. Canada to Win the World Juniors (+110)

After the disastrous performance from Canada a year ago in the World Juniors, there's definitely something to get excited about this time around. Lots of the guys from last year's team are back and improved after being very young last year. Gavin McKenna should be a focal point as a projected top 2 pick. Brady Martin is one of the top prospects in hockey right now as well. Carter George is back in net. This team is filled with NHL talent across the board and will be tough for any team to compete with. USA is expected to be the biggest competition for the Canadians, like always. However, there's something for the Canadians to prove and I expect them to get back from recent performances and dominate.

3. Oklahoma City Thunder to Win the NBA Finals (+105)

Even though there's been a couple of losses recently, that have given the Thunder less of a chance of making history for the greatest regular season record in NBA history held by Golden State, I do believe that it's going to be extremely difficult for any team in the NBA to hang in a best-of-seven series with these guys. Oklahoma City has lost three games in nearly 30 games played while not being 100% healthy for a lot of the season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has played in barely half of the 4th quarters this season and there's no doubt in my mind that this team is going to be more confident than even in the postseason after winning the Finals a year ago as well. Not to mention that OKC has the Clippers draft pick in the upcoming draft which could end up being top 5 if LAC doesn't smarten up. At plus money, these odds are too good to pass up.

4. Georgia Bulldogs to Win the National Championship (+475)

Prior to the season, I believed that Texas was going to emerge victorious as the last team standing in College Football. Although that didn't turn out so well, there's still tons to play for. I'm going to lean Georgia to win things now at this price. Given that the Big Ten has so much confidence entering Conference Championship Weekend with the #1 and #2 teams in the country, I think that there definitely could be some overconfidence going into these playoff games. Despite the perfect record, I'm not sold on Indiana completely as it almost lost to a depleted Penn State team just over a month ago. Ohio State lost to Indiana as well so there's also that. I'm higher on Oregon than probably any Big 10 team at the moment. But, given the history of the sport, I do not expect the Big Ten to three-peat as Champs. I've got the Bulldogs bringing the title back to Georgia and the SEC.

5. Duke Blue Devils to Win the ACC Regular Season Title (-140)

This is the only "favorite" on this list and it's here for a reason. Yes, the Blue Devils lost recently against Texas Tech breaking the undefeated record. But, given the strength of schedule, there was little chance that they were going to finish the season perfect. I do believe that getting a loss or two out of the way in non-conference play is going to help Duke grow as a team and dominate when things really matter. I do like Duke to win both the Regular Season as well as the Conference Tournament titles come the end of this season. The Blue Devils are just simply too good compared to the rest of the bunch including teams like UNC & Louisville. Give me Duke at this price.
